Coming from a solid legal background and always fascinated by the Internet and how it transformed the law, Ceren has been teaching and consulting on IT/Internet law & policy since 2003. Prior to DGG, Ceren worked as the Regional Policy Manager for Europe at the Internet Society, where she advised on a wide range of EU law and policy issues around the Internet and led multistakeholder processes in the region. She also is the founding partner of Wootlex, a consultancy company for IT Law & Policy, and a lecturer for Internet Law at Bilkent University. Ceren holds a law degree from Ankara University and an LLM in Computer and Communications Law from Queen Mary, University of London as a British Chevening Scholar. She is qualified as a lawyer and European Patent Attorney. As a hopeless optimist for tech bringing good to people, Ceren is inspired to put her experience and expertise to use, to develop sound policies, best practices and standards for a sustainable digital future. .
